About Us

The Leichhardt Wanderers Club was formed in 1911 and is the oldest continuously running junior league club in Australia.  

Leichhardt Wanderers Netball Club started in 2009 with two teams. Since then the Club has grown to be the largest netball club in Sydney's Inner West, with 64 teams in 2024. 

​In December 2023 the important step of establishing an incorporated association - known as the Leichhardt Wanderers Netball Club, Inc was taken. An affiliation agreement was also formalised with the Leichhardt Wanderers Junior Rugby League & Cricket Club, Inc.  

Our Constitution & Policies

LWNC encourages all participates - coaches, players, umpires, officials, parents and spectators - to enjoy the game of netball. The majority of people involved in netball, whether at Club level or Association level, are volunteers so please be understanding and co-operative.

Our Awards

LWNC Club Spirit Award

Introduced in 2024, the LWNC Spirit Award recognises and celebrates LWNC Club Members who uphold and embody LWNC’s values. One person to be awarded annually. Find out more and/or make a nomination.

LWNC Team Spirit Award

Each team will receive one LWNC Team Spirit medallion to award the player who has demonstrated the best team spirit over the season. This could be for their overall performance, significant improvement, or simply their positive attitude and enthusiasm at training. To be decided by the Team Coach and Team Manager.

Every team member will receive a player medallion, engraved with the team name, the year and division.
